Headstock Options
Pictured above is a headstock with violin style purfling, purfling inlaid into the veneer, with no binding installed. Matching laminations can be glued under the veneer to make it look like perfectly matching binding, this has become my go to for headstocks lately.
You could also go all out and get a two piece neck with the headstock jointed onto the neck itself, bound all around the joint face.
